In August of 2006, without any solid plans, I left my 18 year career as a Medical Technologist to venture out on my own. Not knowing what life held in store for me, I sensed The Universe held something better in mind for my future beyond the hospital doors. In September of 2005, I received a phone call that would changed the path my entire life would eventually take. At the tender age of 39, my very dear childhood friend, I had shared fun times and so many wonderful memories with, had been taken from this World in a tragic accident. I suddenly became extremely aware of how fragile and precious life really is. That phone call prompted me to think of my own mortality. Was I living with passion and purpose…or was I simply sleepwalking my way through life?

Without getting into detail, there was a time, I allowed mediocre thoughts and feelings dictate my life. I allowed challenges and self chatter to steal my spirit and rule my thoughts. I’ve always been someone to go after what I wanted. Somewhere along the way, I allowed the outside influence of negatively, transform and steal my spirit.
